Affordable sailing at Jackson’s Point Harbour

Sail Georgina has sailboat slips available for the 2019 season. Bring your boat to Jackson’s Point and join us.

An active and friendly community

Our members support each other; providing guidance, sharing sailing experiences and maintenance tips. We hold races throughout the season, including the Mayor’s Cup and Women At The Helm races, and in September we host the Georgina Cup, the last of the season’s multi-club races held on Lake Simcoe. Our social activities are scheduled throughout the sailing season, often coinciding with the racing calendar. We also have post-season events to keep the sailing spirit going all year long!

What it costs

Many of our members are local to Georgina, or from a neighbouring community, and are able to keep their boat on a cradle or trailer on their property (in accordance with the requirements of By-laws, of course) at no cost, or at the cost of cradle transportation. This results in considerable savings over marina rates.
  • The 2018 estimated cost to keep a 33-foot sailboat at Jackson’s Point: $1900
  • The 2018 estimated cost to keep a 22-foot sailboat at Jackson’s Point: $1500
Costs include slip fee, club membership, launch and haulout and wintering the boat on a trailer at home. For those who choose to pay to have their cradle transported to and from their home, it is still a very reasonable deal. Our members have lots of experience and can help new members figure out what might work best in their particular circumstance.

Competitor costs on Simcoe

With marinas in South Simcoe charging as much as $1170 plus tax just for launch and haulout, and as much as $4000 just for a slip for the summer, you owe it to yourself to check out Sail Georgina at Jackson’s Point Harbour.
